The word Makaua in the ancient Aztec language of Nahuatl has two meanings: from hand to hand or the act of giving a hand" - placing great importance on communities working together. Over 500 families have been part of this project which has allowed communities to earn a steady, dignified income and become a part of this beautiful story.
