Celebrating our dining collection:
two delicious Fix & Fogg recipes to make at home

Elevate your everyday with our kitchen and dining collection. From handcrafted ceramics to vibrant linen, there’s something to enhance every meal.

To help inspire your kitchen creations, we’ve partnered with Fix & Fogg to share two delicious recipes. Kickstart the day with a nutritious bowl of granola that utilises pantry staples. For a flavoursome lunch, serve summer rolls with satay dipping sauce.

We’ve styled these dishes with our Finch ceramics collection. The granola is pictured with our Lupin linen table cloth, Picton napkin, Asili x Citta rice spoon, and a Città Essentials storage jar. The summer rolls are complemented with our Cabin hand towel and Sampa board.

Read on for the recipes and check out our beautiful kitchenware collection in-store and online. Happy cooking!

Peanut butter granola

Ingredients
1/2 cup Fix & Fogg Super Crunchy
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup liquid coconut oil
2 cups whole rolled oats
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup coconut flakes
10 dried dates, diced

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a deep baking tray with baking paper.

  2. In a small bowl, combine Fix & Fogg Super Crunchy Peanut Butter, liquid coconut oil and vanilla extract. Stir well.

  3. In a large bowl, combine whole rolled oats coconut sugar, roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds. Stir well.

  4. Add wet peanut butter mixture to the dry oat mixture and stir until dry ingredients are evenly coated.

  5. Transfer the granola mixture to the baking paper lined baking tray and spread out evenly.

  6. Bake granola for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and add coconut flakes. Bake for a further 6 minutes, removing the mix from the oven and stirring every 2 minutes to ensure the coconut flakes do not burn.

  7. Remove granola from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before stirring through the diced dates.

This recipe can be easily adapted based on what you have available, and what your preferences are. When we made this at Città HQ, we swapped the roasted peanuts for almonds and used dried apricots in place of dates. Serve with the likes of fruit, yoghurt, milk, and drizzled honey. Store in an airtight jar or container.

Summer rolls with peanut butter dipping sauce

Ingredients
1/4 of a red cabbage, finely sliced
1/2 a cucumber, cut into thin batons
1 red capsicum finely sliced
1 carrot, finely sliced or julienned
1 cup baby cos lettuce
1/4 cup coriander leaves
Sesame seeds
(Optional add-ins: tofu/protein of choice)

For the peanut dipping sauce:
1/4 cup Fix & Fogg Smooth Peanut Butter
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
1 tsp sesame oil
2-3 tbsp water

Method

  1. First, prepare the dipping sauce. Add everything to a medium bowl and whisk until smooth. Add 2-3 tablespoons of warm water until you reach desired consistency.

  2. To make the rice paper rolls, pour warm water into a large shallow dish. Working with one at a time, dip the rice paper wrapper into the warm water for 10 seconds. You want the wrapper to be soft, yet still slightly firm and pliable. Immediately remove from the water and place flat onto a chopping board or work surface. Here is a really good tutorial on rice paper rolling!

  3. Place a few sticks of carrot, cucumber, red pepper, a couple of baby cos leaves and a small handful of cabbage and coriander in the middle of the paper, leaving a good 3-4cm above and below.

  4. Gently fold the bottom and top over towards the middle, then folder one side over to the middle and roll, using your hands to tuck the filling in as you go.

  5. Cut in half, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with the dipping sauce.

These will last a day or two in the fridge. Try to keep some space between the rolls when storing so they don’t stick together too badly. Much like the granola recipe above, the summer rolls can be filled with seasonal veges you have on-hand. The dipping sauce is also delicious with vege sticks–a perfect for an on-the-go snack!
