This functional Korbo Classic 24 Basket is woven by hand using a single wire, making it an extremely durable and delightfully minimal storage solution with a galvanised steel finish that will develop a beautiful matte patina over time. The utilitarian design and craftsmanship behind the basket was originally intended for farmers and fisherman who needed something hard-wearing that could withstand the elements. Behind every basket lies tradition and skilled craftsmanship. Baskets are woven using the traditional technique and individually signed by an experienced craftsman who takes great pride in his work. This vision has remained a constant since the Korbo basket was first developed in Sweden in the early 1920's. Being completely handwoven, no baskets are identical to one another. 24 litre capacity.
Galvanization is a process used to prevent corrosion of the steel by adding a physical barrier of zinc to the surface. Galvanized steel has effectively been used for more than 150 years and the wire will obtain a beautiful matte patina over time.
